CRETE. Kydonia. Early 2nd century BC. Trihemiobol (Silver, 14 mm, 1.22 g, 12 h). Head of Pan to left. Rev. KY Dog seated right. Svoronos, Crete, 18. SNG Copenhagen 411. Nicely toned. Overstruck on a Rhodian hemidrachm with considerable parts of the undertype still visible. Broken and glued and with some edge chipping, otherwise, very fine.

From the collection of R. Wightman, formed from the late 1970s to the early 2000s and very likely from the 1922 Chania hoard (IGCH 254).
